Welcome to the Kansas Arabian Horse Society website. We encourage you to browse through this site and see what is new and exciting.
KAHS is part of the Region 8 area of the Arabian Horse Association. We work to promote the Arabian, Half-Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horse in Kansas as a family-oriented horse. Whether you are looking to show your horse, compete in endurance/competitive trail events, breed or have a companion that you enjoy riding the trails with, KAHS is the place to go in Kansas.
The KAHS meets 4 times a year, with the elections held at the final meeting of the year, normally in early November. Everyone is invited to attend these meetings, even if you aren't a KAHS member. The dates and locations of the meetings are under the Calendar page. You will also find the dates of KAHS events and other events of interest in the area located in the Calendar page.
We also have a Frequent Rider Program for those who want to earn awards just for enjoying your Arabian/Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian. You can earn points for trail riding, schooling, lessons, parades, driving, drill team activities or any other non-competitive activities. We also have a KAHS Halter Futurity Program for those who breed their horses. You are encouraged to check the Programs page for new programs that we are working on.
You are invited to come back and view this website regularly. If you would like to become a member of KAHS, please download the membership form available under the Forms page. In addition, if you would like to receive notification of changes to our website or our electronic Newsletter, please email Cindy Howey at [email protected].
