KAHS Frequent Rider Program Rider/Horse Nomination and log sheet form The KAHS is glad to announce the creation of a club sponsored program to reward you for spending time with your horse! (If you also wish to join AHA’s national frequent rider program, please see www.ArabianHorses.org for details). All participants must be a member of the KAHS. Also, horses must be owned or leased by a KAHS member. Riders may log hours for multiple horses. Registered or unregistered, any breed of horse, may be entered. Riders must register with the KAHS Points Recorder on the official nomination form or photocopy of such and fee paid and postmarked prior to the recording of hours. A one-time nomination fee of $10.00 must be paid per horse. All hours of non-competitive riding will be counted. These include trail, schooling , lessons, parades, drill teams, therapeutic riding, pleasure riding or driving, or any other non-competitive activities. (Endurance and Competitive Trail rides do not qualify.) All hours are to be recorded on the official log forms or photocopy of log form by the “honor” system. Points are to be recorded in 1/2 hr. increments and totaled by the rider. When an award level is reached(100hrs., 250hrs,.500hrs., 1,000hrs., or 2,000hrs.) the log sheet is to be sent in to the KAHS Points Recorder. After verification, the earned award will be either mailed out to the rider or presented to the rider at one of the General KAHS membership meetings. All members earning awards will be honored in our club newsletter. The program will run from January 1st. to November, with November 20th. being the deadline in which all hours must be in and postmarked by. Hours may be carried over to the next year(s) if the rider has not reached the next award level yet.(Rider should still turn in hours by Nov. 20th.) Awards to be as follows: 100 hours-Ribbon or
to be announced + certificate indicating hours earned If a horse is sold, points may carry forward if records(log forms) are current and owner joins or is a member of KAHS. The Board of Directors to have final say in any program changes, including type of prizes awarded, fee changes, any disputes, etc.
